ABSTRACT

Kumpulan Jurnal Tentang Olahraga Renang - DownloadSwimming is a sport that races athletes swimming speed in swimming. Currently, the swimmer uses two start techniques: the grab and the start track. Several studies have shown that track start has a record time faster than grab start. Track start can achieve faster record time, because the larger base and support created by the distance of the foot in the block, the swimmer can move their mass center farther above the water level than the start grab. The purpose of this study is to know between the start grab and the start track of the two starters that have a longer jump distance and why the jump distance of a force has advantages, in terms of Dartfish analysis on the swimsuit sport. This research method using Comparative design that is comparing two or more groups that is grab start and track start. The sample of this research is SC Eagle Surabaya swimming athlete amounting 9 person. The jump results from both start with statistical analysis and motion analysis using Dartfish software. The conclusions of the results of the study and discussion are (1) There is a difference of jump distance between grab start and start track at swimsuit at SC Eagle Surabaya swimming athlete, and the most distant jump distance with value 2,86 m, and using track start technique. (2) The motion analysis shows that the track start achieves a further jump distance of 2.86 m with the advantages of the start technique, the angle at takeoff, the hand angle on the start block and the better fall angle than the start grab to allow distance a long jump. and angle at the take off time of 31.4o, hand angle on 65.5o start block and fall angle 157.2o with 1 second travel time and speed of 2.86, besides also supported by the speed and anatonic muscle of athlete’s limbs as well as factor other. In other words it can be stated that the use of track start jump technique is better than grab start.
