The curriculum of education may change according to times and context of society. Indonesian society is known as a multicultural society, so the curriculum development should involve multiculturalism, which is called multicultural curriculum. To strengthen the curriculum building based on multiculturalism, it needs to be developed philosophically and psychologically. Is this the philosophical and psychological basis of multiculturalism in Indonesia? This research is called library research with content analysis method. The data collected is objectively and systematically interpreted. The results of this study indicate the basis of multicultural curriculum development based on philosophically in the form of progressivism, reconstructionism and Pancasilais. Psychologically, the development of a multicultural curriculum based on the curriculum for multicultural education in students is made by Peaget, Erikson, and Rosseau.
