ABSTRACT

The learning process of “limit of function” in universities is generally presented by expository or lecture. this paper proposes a learning strategy through the application of Bruner’s teaching and learning theory. this learning theory follows the flow of cognitive psychology or contructivism. the learning process is done starting from simple things that are concrete objects to abstract. The subject of limit of function has been studied by students at the time of studying in high school. Therefore, the implementation of this learning uses a spiral approach. Through this learning process students are expected to discover (discover) and mengkruntuksi jointly the basic concept of function limits so that they can define, understand, communicate, and solve problems. constructed concepts are expected to be remembered for a long time. through the learning process it is expected that the quality and ability of student reasoning is increasing.
