ABSTRACT

The purpose of this research is to calculate land use change and to know the Erosion Hazard Level (TBE) and the dominant factor in the erosion process in the Multi Basin of Karang Mumus in multitemporal way. The analysis of this land cover is obtained from Landsat TM and ETM + extraction from 1997 to 2009 which has been interpreted so that the land use area and its variation are used using two dimension matrix for each year period. In the analysis activity on the level of hazard of multitemporal erosion, the calculation is done through the USLE model with some constituent variables ie erosivity obtained from rainfall data, erodibility obtained from soil type data, slope and slope length obtained from DEM data processing extracted from SRTM image, plants and soil conservation obtained from land use data on multitemporal Landsat image so that the erosion rate will be obtained. Furthermore, the compiler variable is statistical analysis using regression and correlation test to find the most dominant variable in the erosion process in Karang Mumus Sub DAS.
