ABSTRACT

Computer vision learning on edge-based material about edge detection for some students of elusive material. Based on questionnaire data obtained from 13 students who have taken computer vision courses, the percentage of computer vision courses assessed on edge detection material is that 13.46% of students understand the material, and 86.53% of students find it difficult to understand material on edge detection, especially in the process of change between the original image and the results of the filtering process. The results of the assignment value data were obtained from 78 students, 55% got a score of <60. This study aims to build learning tools for computer vision courses on edge-based multimedia image segmentation material that is expected to help students understand edge detection material. and students can apply the process of change between the original image and the results of the filtering process. Subjects in this study are multimedia applications as learning tools for computer vision subjects on edge based image segmentation using Adobe Flash 8. Data collection in this study using the Study literature method, observation method, and interview method. This application is prepared through procedures that include problem identification, feasibility studies, system requirements analysis, designing concepts, designing content, designing documents, designing scripts, designing graphics, producing systems, testing systems with black box test and alpha test. multimedia applications as learning tools for computer vision courses on edge based image segmentation material. Based on the results of testing that has been done using Black Box Test and Alpha Test shows that this learning application can help the student learning process and can be used as a learning tool for computer vision courses on edge based image segmentation material.
