ABSTRACT

Rice is the staple food most consumed by the people of Indonesia. However, the price of rice in the market is increasingly soaring, so there are many outstanding rice that has poor quality. Therefore, there is a need for quality standard quality from the rice warehouse when distributing rice to the market. Bulog quality testing standard there are two stages, namely laboratory test and visual test. However, visual testing has been done manually so that there are still frequent errors due to limited human vision and subjectivity testers. Therefore, a visual testing system with digital imagery can be an effective solution to the problem. The testing process can be seen from the white value, net value, and the whole value of rice acquired through digital image processing. The net and white value acquisition process is done by analyzing the value of HSV (Hue, Saturation, Value), while the whole value is done by analyzing the area of ​​the area of ​​the object. Previously, training on 30 data to get decision tree with model ID3 (Iterative Dichotomiser Tree). The data that has been acquired is then classified into 3 classes that is good, less and bad by using the rules of the decision tree generated in the training process. Result of test with k-fold cross validation method with k = 5 got accuracy equal to 96.67%.
