ABSTRACT

This project is about Empowerment of Potential Students of External STBI Kediri in Emphasizing Lecture Material in Service Practice. The problem in implementing this project is that the students of STBI Eksternal Kediri use their potential when embodied the lecture material in the practice of ministry in the church where the students of STBI Eksternal Kediri become church members in the field of ministry preaching, evangelism, and teaching. Implementation of this project using the method of teaching (train) students. There are 13 (thirteen) students actively involved to achieve these 3 (three) service project objectives in the practice of ministry in the church where the students belong to the church. This method uses the following pattern: For 6 (six) months is the service project implementation time, the author divides in 3 (three) stages with 2 (two) months each stage. These stages include: Preparing teaching materials (training), presentation, preparation and implementation of projects by students, evaluation and implementation results as indicated by the distribution of percentages and diagrams. The projects implemented can achieve the three objectives: First, the students’ potential in the field of preaching shows that the majority (75%) of the students understand the Expository Sermon. Thus most of the MA students of STBI Eksternal Kediri practice what they have received in the lecture. Also most (reaching 47.5%) serve in the ministry on average one time per month. Secondly, in the embodiments of potential students in the field of evangelization, (in the cell group) acts as chairman of 7.5%, as a member 37.5%, while a coach 47.5% and others 7.5%. This identifies that students are more empowering group members in terms of winning souls or at least, the balance between the students of MA STBI Eksternal Kediri with ordinary church members. But it appears that all (100%) students understand the benefits of cell groups as a means of evangelism. Third, in terms of student involvement in teaching in Sunday School shows that many of the students who teach the age group of 6-10 years reach 30% and teach over the age of 16 reaches 30%. There are 7.5% of the real answers are teaching at age 11-15 years and 7.5% of students answer never. However it appears that many of the students answered others (in the sense of not giving answers) that reached 20%. Students who teach at the most dominant child level reached 28%, while in other parts of students who teach at the level of youth and adolescents balanced enough that reaches 25% each. This suggests that students are more likely to empower their potential in the field of teaching at the age level of children to youth. Keywords: Potential, Course, Service Practice
