ABSTRACT

The most principal implementation difference between SRI and conventional techniques in rice cultivation is the intermittent irrigation during the vegetative phase and prioritizing organic fertilizers, in addition to the suggestion of planting young seedlings on SRI. This study aims to determine the growth and yield of rice crops in various ages seedlings with SRI techniques. The research was conducted in Tondo Village, Palu city, which lasted from April â ???? July 2013. This study used Randomized Block Design (RAK), which consisted of 6 treatments, namely A = Tabela, B = seeding age of 6 days, C = nine days of seedlings, D = age of 12 days seedlings and E = age of seedlings 15 day using SRI planting pattern, and F = 18 days old seedlings using conventional cropping pattern. Each treatment was repeated three times as a group so that there were 18 treatment units. Each treatment unit consists of 4 plants so that there are 72 plants. The result data is analyzed by fingerprint (F-Test), if the result of variance analysis shows the real difference then continued test of real honest difference (BNJ). The results showed that Tabela (A) could accelerate the 9 day flowering time compared to conventional cropping pattern and 12 day harvest time compared to conventional cropping pattern. HSS 6 plants resulted in higher number of tillers and higher dry grain yields. The use of SRI planting pattern can increase grain yield per hill 90.79% compared to conventional cropping pattern.
